With a 98-95(5.5,1.5) win at Albany on Sunday, the Yakama Sun Kings secured homecourt advantage for the upcoming 2007 CBA Finals. The Sun Kings opponent in the Finals will either be the Albany Patroons or Minot Skyrockets. The victory snapped the Sun Kings two-game losing streak and improved Yakama's overall record to 33-10 and their road mark to 13-8. The four-game season series between the two clubs ended in a 2-2 tie.
Elvin Mims led the Sun Kings in scoring with 25 points, hiting 12-of-19 shots from the field and Ralph Holmes added 24 points. Galen Young had 19 points and nine rebounds, just missing a double-double, and Chris Alexander had 10 points and 10 rebounds to record his 11th double-double of the season. Eddy Barlow dropped in 10 points and his six assists tied Young for team-high honors. Holmes had five steals while Mims and Barlow had two each. The Sun Kings outshot the Patroons from the field, 51.69%-48.6%.
