GAME TWO - SUN KINGS WIN! - 2007-03-28

Elvin Mims and Galen Young each scored 19 points to pace the visiting-Yakama Sun Kings over the Albany Patroons, 92-87, in Game #2 of the 2007 CBA Finals. The victory gives the Sun Kings a 2 0 lead in the Best-of-Five series.

Mims went 8-of-14 from the field and Young hit 8-of-15 shots on the night. Ralph Holmes added 5 points while Chris Alexander came off the bench to drop in 11 points. Greg Stevenson and rookie Jason Forte had scored nine points each. Young led the Sun Kings in rebounding, nine, and assists, six. Rocky Walls had seven reounds while Holmes and Mims grabbed five each. Eddy Barlow dished out four assists for Yakama. The Sun Kings outshot the Patroons from the floor, 53.6%-40.0%, and from the free throw line, 73.7%-63.6%. Yakama won the battle of the boards, 47-40.

Game #3 will be played in the Yakima Valley SunDome on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Games #4 and #5, if necessary, will be played on Sunday (3:05 p.m.) and Tuesday (7:05 p.m.), respectively.
Yakama is looking to be the first team to repeat as CBA Champions since the Tampa Bay/Rapid City Thrillers won three straight titles from 1985-87. The Sun Kings have won a league record-four CBA titles (1995, 2000, 2003 and 2006).
